TEP

Tonne of oil equivalent

Common energy accounting unit used in AEYS to compare different energy carriers on one scale (TEP per month).

Also known astoetonne of oil equivalent

Tonne of oil equivalent converts electricity, natural gas, steam, and fuels into a single quantity so shares and totals are comparable. AEYS reports organization-wide and SEU totals as TEP/month and often also as TJ/month.

ÖEK analysis, unit models, and the company energy report all roll consumption up to TEP before ranking significant uses or computing intensity indices.
