SEC

Specific energy consumption

Energy consumed per unit of output (for example TEP per tonne of production or TEP per MWh), used as an EnPI.

Also known asSETS.E.C.

Specific energy consumption (SEC / SET in Turkish reports) is the simplest intensity EnPI: energy divided by a production or service driver. Units vary by SEU (TEP/ton, kWh/unit, Sm³/ton).

It complements model-based EnPIs: SEC is transparent for operators; expected-versus-actual from trained models captures mix and relevant-variable effects.
