International standard for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an energy management system (EnMS).

ISO 50001 specifies requirements for an energy management system that helps an organization follow a systematic approach to achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use, and energy consumption.

In AEYS the standard is the backbone of customer programme intake, accreditor review, organizational-unit scope, and the company energy report. Documented information, energy review, significant energy uses (SEU), baselines, and EnPIs are all modelled against this framework.
