Documented information that does not rot between audits

ISO 50001 wants an EnMS that stays current. Zip files of last year’s procedures are not documented information.

Documented information that does not rot between audits

The standard is precise: documented information must be available and suitable, and it must be under control. A shared drive of PDFs dated the month before certification week fails that test the following year.

AEYS treats ISO 50001 as the spine of the product. Programme intake captures scope, sites, the energy team, and the linked accreditor. Organizational units and energy sources give operational control a place to live. The company energy report is written against TS EN ISO 50001:2018, not a generic template.

Consultants and accreditors still matter. The platform does not replace them. It holds the living system they review: energy review, SEUs, EnPIs, baselines, and the report outputs that feed management review.

Surveillance and recertification need the same loop. If the artefacts only exist as an export, the organisation starts again. If they live on the programme, the second year is an update.
