Scope 1 and 2 start with energy-carrier totals you already trust

TEP and TJ by carrier are the usual activity data. AEYS does not replace ISO 14064 — it stops those figures being rebuilt in a year-end workbook.

Scope 1 and 2 start with energy-carrier totals you already trust

Carbon packs fail when energy figures are reconstructed for the annual disclosure. Scope 1 and 2 still need activity data: consumption by energy carrier, in units the inventory can multiply by factors.

In Turkish EnMS practice those units are often TEP and TJ. They should come from the same organizational-unit mappings that feed SEU analysis and EnRC, not from a parallel carbon spreadsheet that drifts the moment a meter is renamed.

AEYS is honest about the boundary. It is not a full ISO 14064 greenhouse-gas inventory. It is the energy evidence that inventory should not have to reinvent. CSRD / ESRS E1 and installation-level CBAM packs can consume those totals instead of asking the plant a second time.

When a mapping changes, performance reporting and disclosure activity data move together. Year-end is then a snapshot of a living EnMS, not a second energy review.
